    School Profile

We are a "family-sized", inclusive school where staff and students all know each other and families feel welcomed and involved. Children are expected to put forth their best efforts, and do so in a safe, caring, peaceful environment. The school is organized for kindergarten through grade six, including students with special needs. Programming for students with special needs occurs within inclusive settings and a district site program.

Grovenor emphasizes academics and provides exceptional music instruction integrated throughout the curriculum. Daily physical education programming is a tradition at Grovenor, with programming being implemented long before it became a requirement! Students in Grades 4 - 6 receive formal instruction in Spanish as a second language.

At Grovenor School, we believe children learn at different rates and times and in unique ways. Students are intentionally challenged at their personal academic level and receive opportunities to experience success in a supportive environment that encourages learning. Expert staff empower students to become engaged learners and problem solvers.

Together we DO make a difference - Volunteering and parental support are valued aspects of our school community. In partnership we work to support Grovenor students as they engage in their learning and begin understanding their individual potential. Our whole child focus provides direction for programming and support for students as they grow to become active, peaceful citizens and life long learners.

Join us as we watch students succeed!

Kindergarten Open House

If you have a child(ren) who turn 5 before or on December 31, 2023, they may be eligible for Kindergarten! Please share this with any of your friends or neighbours who are also looking for Kindergarten in September!

Starting on February 1, 2023, Grovenor School is now accepting registrations! In order to ensure that everyone is safe and that we are limiting contact wherever possible, there is a centralized online process which can be found at https://www.epsb.ca/schools/register/kindergartenregistration/

For the 2023 - 2024 school year, Grovenor School is full in planned classes from Kindergarten and Grade 2 in the regular program. A Kindergarten student who is a resident and lives in the school's attendance area may still register. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enroll in another Division school with space in planned classes.

If you are registering for Kindergarten or if you are new to Edmonton Public Schools, you must register online.
